Meet the Executive Leadership Team

Sian Hampton – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Sian has over 25 years’ experience working in schools in the East Midlands region.  Sian has been active in school leadership for over 15 years and is a designated National Leader of Education. Sian has overseen the development of the Trust from one school to 9 including opening a brand new primary and secondary school and a SCITT. In less than three years, the first sponsored school in the Multi-Academy Trust moved from Special Measures to Good and there are plans for continued growth. 

Stuart Anderson – Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO)

Stuart has worked in a number of senior roles for Archway including Principal, Executive Headteacher and Regional Director prior to becoming DCEO. He has direct responsibility for a number of Trust schools but also in the strategic leadership of standards and delivering the Trust’s vision.

Stuart has enjoyed a highly successful career spanning over 20 years with an invaluable understanding of school leadership. As Principal, Stuart led Bluecoat Wollaton to attain exceptionally highly, securing an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted grade in its first inspection, becoming ‘World Class’ and being recognised as ‘Excellent’ in its SIAMS Church Inspection. He has since supported other schools in the trust to secure improvements.

Stuart also has significant expertise in school inspection at both primary and secondary phases where he has undertaken and led inspections on behalf of Ofsted. He is especially interested in the development of school culture and curriculum.

Kirsty Woolls – Chief People Officer (CPO)

Kirsty joined our Trust in January 2022 and previously worked as HR Director in a large Multi-Academy Trust with 21 schools located across 10 local authorities.

Kirsty has worked in Human Resources in the Education sector for over 20 years.  She holds a CIPD L7 Postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management and brings to our Trust a wealth of experience in implementing people related strategies, change management projects, employment legislation, recruitment and retention and many other areas of HR practice and expertise.

In her role as Chief People Officer, Kirsty is committed to prioritising staff wellbeing and the effective and efficient operation of all of our HR strategies and policies, with the support of the HR team.

She leads our reporting to Trustees in relation to our people strategies as well as ensuring effective industrial relations across our Trust.

Nathan Jeremiah – Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Nathan has been with the Trust since 2012, having started his career in IT. He is responsible for leading Archway’s operational teams including IT, Estates, Health & Safety, Cleaning, Catering, PFI, Capital Development and Major Projects teams.

He plays a key role in growing the Trust, ensuring that with every step of our development our operational services meet the needs of our academies and students.

Nathan works with the DfE through the School Resource Management Adviser (SRMA) programme, leading the entire accreditation process for all SRMAs nationally. Nathan also works with a range of Trusts to support their development, growth and efficiency.

He is a Trustee at Community Inclusive Trust based in Lincolnshire as well as a Trustee of his local Scout Association in his hometown of Melton Mowbray.

Michelle Walshe – Chief Corporate Services Officer (CCSO)

Michelle is our Chief Corporate Services Officer with responsibility for all aspects of our Governance and corporate compliance. She also oversees marketing and communications, academy services and is the Trust’s DPO.  Michelle has over 20 years experience in the education sector and has previously led and managed the admissions and appeals activity across the Trust as well as deliver process improvement and effective people management of large teams.  Michelle is committed to delivering the best possible service for the students, parents and communities our Trust serves through ensuring the highest standards of performance which is both ethical and effective.

Stuart Bird – Chief Finance Officer (CFO)

Stuart joined our Trust in October 2022 and has spent the last ten years in senior finance director positions across the NHS where he says the challenges are “remarkably similar” to education.

Stuart has also worked in finance and operational directorship roles for a number of successful businesses in the private sector, including financial services, nursing and residential care.

He is a Chartered Accountant and is well versed in building and delivering a strong finance team that provides an excellent service to the organisation it supports.

Dave Taylor – Director of Education 

As Director of Education, Dave is responsible for the Quality of Education, Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) and the Quality Assurance of Teaching and Learning. Dave leads the Central Education Team and the Implementation Group, which comprises local VPs and APs for Teaching and Learning. Dave’s main educational passion is to ensure children improve their reading and he is the main architect of the Trust’s driving improvement priority ‘Every child in an Archway school will become a fluent reader’.

Dave oversaw the development of the Archway Teaching and Learning Framework, which captures how evidence-informed principles and pedagogies can be exercised in practical, measurable steps. Dave also introduced Instructional Coaching as the primary driver of improving teacher development in all academies within the Trust. Dave’s key priority for 2022-23 is ‘Curriculum Convergence’, ensuring that the most effective curricula in Archway’s Lead schools become the entitlement and experience of all our pupils.
