About Us

Safeguarding at Archway

Trust Lead for Safeguarding: Alana Watson

Safeguarding Trustee: Richard Vasey

We are absolutely committed to safeguarding children and young people, and we expect everyone who works within our trust to share this commitment.

We have a number of policies and procedures relating to safeguarding which are available on our Policies page. You can also request paper copies by getting in touch with us.

Safeguarding Statement

Safeguarding arrangements across our trust are underpinned by two key principles:

  • Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility: all staff, trustees, AABs and volunteers must fulfil their full role in keeping children safe. We have a whole-trust approach to safeguarding. This means ensuring safeguarding and child protection are at the forefront and underpin all relevant aspects of process and policy development and operate in the best interests of the child.
  • A child-centred approach: a clear understanding of the needs and views of children. We recognise the importance of enabling children to talk openly about anything that worries them and to feel confident that they will be listened to or access well publicised systems for reporting or disclosing abuse or harm.

At Archway we are committed to safeguarding children and young people and we expect everyone who works within our trust to share this commitment.
